Welcome!

My husband Martin and I have lived in Milton for ten years and we have two children, Brian and Molly. I am honored to be a member of many Milton organizations and to sit on the boards of several Milton organizations including having served as Chair and Trustee of the Milton Public Library, the League of Women Voters, the Milton Early Childhood Alliance, the Glover PTO, the Outdoor Classroom Foundation and the Milton Library Foundation. In the past two years I have also played a leadership roll in the Safe and Equal Schools Project, the Yes4Milton Committee and as a delegate to the Democratic State Convention from Milton and as Precinct Captain for the Deval Patrick and Tim Murray Campaigns.

While Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Milton Public Library, I had the honor of leading the recent successful fundraising campaign to Restore and Renovate Milton’s 104 year old Library, obtaining a significant state grant, securing private funds and obtaining unanimous support from Town Meeting and overwhelming support for the project from Milton Voters. The project has been handed to the Library Building Committee now and construction is expected to commence in June and is both on time and on budget.

Prior to moving to Milton, I was a managing partner of a law firm for five years, which I followed by  running my own law firm for ten years after my partner was named a District Court Judge. In that 15 years, I was a practicing litigation attorney and also served in leadership roles in several statewide legal boards and committees; in several cases having the responsibility to account for and dispense millions of dollars in grants to entities supplying legal services to victims of domestic abuse, elders and others in need who could not otherwise afford legal assistance.

My greatest joy in the past ten years, has been watching our children grow up and blossom in Milton. This is a wonderful Town, rich in history and promise. But Milton faces critical challenges in the next few years and I believe that Milton needs the consensus building skills, fresh energy and ideas that I can bring to the table if I am elected Selectman on April 24th. To learn more about my background, please read my appended resume  below or attend one of the many house parties and events planned this March and April.  I believe that together, we can Move Milton Forward.

Please consider casting your vote for Kathy Fagan for Milton Selectman on April 24th.
